  Our group stayed at the lodge for three days in early August. We were treated with friendly respect and politeness. Everyone on the staff was helpful. Our rooms were very well furnished and comfortable. the daily breakfast was plentiful and satisfying. as were the optional dinners. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would certainly consider staying again.

  What a place! Lake Superior is amazing, and Rock Island Lodge is the perfect place to stay to explore it and enjoy the lake. We stopped by Rock island Lodge twice on our travels because we liked it so much the first time and weren't disappointed again. Rock Island Lodge has a great atmosphere. Everyone is extremely kind and welcoming, the food is amazing, and the water is gorgeous. We wish we could have stayed longer and tried some stand up paddle boarding, or gone on a kayak trip. Rock Island Lodge is definitely on the list for another visit. If you get the chance, go check it out!

  Stunning spot on Lake superior with great access to beaches, hikes and the lake! Plenty to explore and do (SUP, kayaking etc). Great food, service and staff! Highly recommended for travellers and families alike.

  We stayed here at the Rock Island Lodge and had an amazing time. The Lodge is rustic, the views are spectacular, and the staff is a lot of fun. We opted in for the meals and the home cooking was very nice. We stayed in the Cara suite and very much enjoyed it. The building is very historical and one of a kind. We will certainly return next summer.

  We took the half day kayaking instruction and used the boats all day. The lessons were very good and we had a great time seeing the Lake Superior views from the water. I would recommend tripping through this outfitter. Boats were in great shape and staff was experienced.
